The Cromwell Las Vegas is a luxury boutique themed hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas strip in Paradise, Nevada. The establishment is owned by Caesars Entertainment and originally opened doors on the 2nd of March 1979 as Barbary Coast which was a hotel and casino themed around its name.
The Barbary Coast remained in operation until 2007 when new ownership took over the establishment and rebranded it Bills Gambling Hall and Saloon. It was then closed in 2013 for renovations. On the 31st of January 2014 Caesars entertainment announced that the establishment would have a new name which would be The Cromwell Las Vegas. The official opening after renovations was on the 21st of April 2014 but the hotel rooms were only available on the 21st of May.
The Cromwell Las Vegas Hotel Facilities
The Cromwell Las Vegas hotel has a total of 188 rooms that are all air conditioned. The room facilities include a clock radio; voice mail; climate control; ironing equipment; hair dryer; complimentary toiletries and satellite television as well as paid movies. The rooms feature a desk and chair as well as blackout curtains. Internet access and housekeeping is also available. The front desk of the hotel is available around the clock which wouldn’t really matter if you played online casino games.
A fitness room that is open twenty four hours a day is available and located to the rear of the lobby and one small gift shop called Curios provides souvenirs; trinkets from around the world; accessories and sundries for purchase.
The Cromwell Las Vegas Casino
The casino at The Cromwell Las Vegas offers 40 000 sq. ft. of gaming space. More than 400 slot machines are provided as well as more than 60 table games. The casino features a high limit room and a gaming room available for exclusive reservations. There is a kiosk available for all sports betting requirements.
The Cromwell Las Vegas Restaurant and Bars
Giada is the only restaurant available at The Cromwell Las Vegas. It opened in 2014 and is the first restaurant opened by Giada De Laurentiis who is a well-known chef and food network television personality. The menu features Italian cuisine with a Californian influence. The restaurant provides seating in a lounge, dining area and an outdoor patio. The windows are controlled remotely and work on a hydraulic system to open them. The restaurant is situated on the 2nd floor and has views of the strip and the musical fountains of the Bellagio.
In 2014 the Drai’s Beach Club and Nightclub opened on the top two floors of the building and is now the signature venue of the establishment. The venue is 65 000 sq. ft. and includes a pool and both indoor and outdoor club space. The venue was opened by Victor Drai who also opened Drai’s After Hours which is an award winning nightclub found in the basement area of the establishment.
Bound is the lobby bar at The Cromwell Las Vegas. It is decorated in gold and black and provides an elegant atmosphere. The cocktail menu was created by Salvatore Calabrese who is considered to be world leading mixologist.
